The university question Will I lose a year?

The J-1 Intern route is built for currently enrolled students and eligible recent graduates. Whether the experience can be recognized as faculty practice or ECTS is decided by your university—not by an agency. EARNGO helps you prepare the program and training documentation your faculty may request before you commit.

Who qualifiesOne hard gate.

Route 1 — you are currently enrolled and actively studying at a post-secondary institution outside the United States. Route 2 — you graduated from one no more than 12 months before your program start date. Your placement must also relate to your field of study, and hospitality intern programs are capped at 12 months.

Graduated longer ago? You are outside the Intern category — but with five years of professional experience in your field, Trainee USA qualifies you with no degree requirement at all. Tell us and we move your file across.

Payment and visa protection Staged payments. Clear refund protection.

Payment is organized in stages according to your selected plan and signed agreement. If your U.S. visa is not approved after you complete the required process, the total non-refundable amount is USD 500 — or the amount your Sponsor organization retains in case of visa denial, where that amount is higher (per-sponsor figures are listed in the Schedule to Annex B, signed before Instalment 1) — retained by EARN&GO USA to cover the sponsor’s own non-refundable retention and the administrative work already done. All other program funds you have paid are returned, and the final instalment is never charged. One condition applies: the sponsor must be notified within 48 hours of the refusal. Government fees paid directly to U.S. authorities — the DS-160 visa fee (USD 185) and the SEVIS fee (USD 220) — are non-refundable by their nature.

Eligible EARNGO candidates can request dedicated-purpose financing support through Komercijalna Banka for approved program costs. Your program documents and confirmed income plan support the application; the Bank makes the individual credit decision and defines the final terms.

Each instalment falls due only after the previous step has actually happened. Not included in any plan: the U.S. Visa Integrity Fee (USD 250), the DS-160 visa fee (USD 185, included only in Internship Signature), accommodation deposit and rent, local transport, personal expenses, excess baggage, and the airline ticket under Internship Core. Annex A of your signed agreement prevails.

What the price never buys

A visa, a guaranteed host, a guaranteed stipend or a shortcut around sponsor rules. It buys preparation, coordination and the support level shown in your agreement. U.S. visa fees, accommodation deposit, personal expenses and excess baggage are organized separately unless your signed agreement says otherwise.
